Stuhrling Original traces its roots back to Switzerland in the late 19th century. Master watchmaker Max Stuhrling (the protege of Louis Audemars of the famed Audemars Piguet) endeavored to manufacture timepieces that would be affordable to the public. By the mid-twentieth century, the Stuhrling family pursued other interests, but in the late 1990s, Max Stuhrling IV took it upon himself to re-establish Stuhrling Original's legacy of watchmaking excellence.
